This approach is like using a carcinogenic sunscreen to prevent skin cancer...and we do that, too.

An interesting article in Discovery magazine points out that geoengineering "a high-atmosphere "sunshade" of particles"--in an attempt to thwart climate change-- may reduce our chances of most efficiently using solar energy in the future, an energy source we need to reduce our emission of greenhouse gases. How short-sighted and ironic is that? I have to believe that the scientists working on this project are aware of its implications for solar energy. What will they come up with next to compensate for that little stickler? When will we stop exacerbating the problems we already have with new problems? It's time to get on the right track once and for all. There really isn't any time to spare. Why can't our policy makers make comprehensive and reasonable decisions? Look at where their rationale is taking us!
